Contest winner incorporates concrete

Woodcraft

Chicago’s Mike Clifford won the furniture contest grade prize on Instructables.com with a table featuring a “marble” top made from concrete.

Woodcraft provided prizes for the contest that encouraged makers to build or repurpose a piece.

The table also features a Douglas fir base made using Shou Sugi Ban, an ancient Japanese exterior siding technique that preserves wood by charring it with fire.
