The Cabinet Makers Association scheduled an eastern New York regional event on May 11 at Taghkanic Woodworking to present information about automating a small custom woodworking shop.
The full-day event is part of the CMA’s Professional Certification Program and will be hosted by Leland Thomasset, owner of Taghkanic Woodworking in Pawling, N.Y.
Sponsors include Federated Insurance, Omnitech Systems, Exodus Software, Cabinet Vision/Planit Software and Timbercraft Custom Dovetail Drawers.
Two seminars for small- to mid-sized woodworking shops are on tap for the featured educational sessions. Mike Russell of Federated Insurance will present a session titled “Insurance 101: Controlling Your Business Insurance Costs,” while Leland will cover "CNC Basics.”
In addition, other CMA sponsors will make presentations. Time for discussion and questions will follow each presentation.
