Precisions Drive Systems, a global provider of high-speed precision spindle motors, support and repair based in Bessemer City, N.C., has made Bob Barone vice president of the company.

“Mr. Barone brings a wealth of experience to PDS, including owning and operating an architectural millwork company, as well as holding product management and sales positions with Michael Weinig, Biesse America, and Benz,” the company said in a statement.

“His extensive experience in wood, plastic and engineered composite manufacturing applications will be brought to bear assisting PDS customers with all of their spindle needs – both with new equipment and repair service. With his diverse application experience, Bob will focus on opening up new markets for the extensive line of PDS products.”
