Blogger pens second Civil War woodworking book

A.J. Hamler, author of the Woodshop News “Over the Workbench” blog, has a new book published by Linden Publishing, “Civil War Woodworking, Volume II.”

The follow up to Hamler’s 2010 book, “Civil War Woodworking,” the second volume features instructions for building 16 authentic reproductions of 19th century furniture and other items from the period.

Projects include a shaving box; folding camp stool, chair and table; field cot, and camp chest.

Hamler is currently working on his fourth book for F+W Media, “Build It with Your Kids,” a volume of family-friendly workshop projects to be published in the spring of 2015.
