Balsa plywood available from 3A Composites

3A Composites USA added Banova Ply, a lightweight plywood made of balsa veneers, to its product offering.

“Banova Ply is an extremely versatile lightweight balsa plywood designed for cost-effective rigid panel construction; and it is a perfect fit with our synthetic veneers,” sales manager Doug Robinson said in a statement. “We believe that many of our furniture customers in need of a lightweight panel will find Banova Ply to be the ideal solution.”

Banova Ply is available in 4’ x 8’ sheets in standard 12, 18 and 25 mm thicknesses. It can be custom ordered in 15, 30 and 40 mm thicknesses, according to the company.
