Wood-Mizer recently announced the winners of its 2021 My Wood-Mizer Project, an annual contest started in 1985 to give sawmill owners the opportunity to showcase their efforts. More than 300 entries were received.

“Every year, we continue to be amazed by the creativity and craftsmanship of Wood-Mizer sawmill owners all over the world,” says John Smith, Wood-Mizer’s CEO. “This year’s contest was our best turnout ever with more than 300 projects entered from unique cabins and creative treehouses to timber frame buildings, live edge furniture and more. As a Wood-Mizer sawmill owner myself, I’d like to congratulate everyone who has successfully built a project or business with a Wood-Mizer.”

The contest is open to any Wood-Mizer sawmill owner or woodworking equipment owner in North America wanting to compete for their share of $25,000 worth of prize credits awarded to the top three in 10 categories: Homes and Major Structures; Small Homes and Cabins; Large Barns and Garages; Small Barns and Sheds; Furniture; Interior; Exterior; Unusual and Unique; For the Good of Others, and People’s Choice.

The public was invited to vote online for their favorite project to determine the People’s Choice award.
