With the addition of a waterjet, Charles G. G. Schmidt & Co. has improved its knife grinding service to now include preroughed knives and templates.

As most knife grinders know, most of the time spent on grinding profiled knives is the roughing-out process, according to the company. Now customers can order and receive roughed-out knives and templates to their specifications at a substantial savings. Customers can also order completely finished knives complete with templates or just templates for their knife grinding department. Just provide the company with a drawing, wood sample or a dxf file.
