Hitachi Power Tools announces lifetime warranty

Hitachi Power Tools is offering to original purchasers of its HXP lithium-ion cordless tools a new lifetime warranty that protects against possible defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date.

The warranty is retroactive and applies to lithium-ion tools purchased since their initial launch in August 2006. Hitachi customers who purchased applicable cordless lithium-ion tools before this lifetime warranty announcement will automatically be covered and are not required to register or reregister their tools, according to the company.

Categories of tools currently covered under the warranty include cordless driver drills, hammer drills, impact drivers, impact wrenches, circular caws, jig saws and reciprocating saws.
