Image is everything

Using social media for promoting a business has become a common practice. It only takes a few seconds to post to a social media page and your latest thought or project can be presented to thousands of “followers”.

Your message will be much better presented if you include an image or better yet, a short video clip. Since virtually everyone has a cell phone in their pocket and since cell phone cameras are now rivaling the best hand held DSLRs, capturing that image is quick and easy. And getting that image onto your social media page is even easier using the platform’s mobile app.

Images are essential if you expect people to look at what you are posting. But short video clips are even better. These can be easily captured using the same cell phone and uploaded just as easily as a still image.

Next, we’ll look at some simple ways to quickly capture and edit images and video clips for posting on the web. Stay tuned.
