Better mousetrap?

There is an old saying that if you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door. In reality, nothing could be farther from the truth.

If the world does not know about your better mousetrap, the path to your door could become overgrown with weeds in short order.

There are many ways to get the word out about your products that did not exist a short time ago. The Internet has become a lot like television in the 1950's, transitioning from a novelty that only your wealthy friends had to a mainstream necessity. In fact, as cellular networks become more and more available, faster and easier to access, the Internet as we know it is actually in danger of becoming a thing of the past.

It's no longer sufficient to have a simple website available for your customers and potential clients to access. Now we must have an easy to navigate mobile site or, better yet, an app. Nevertheless, the Internet is still a very viable conduit, available to virtually everyone, and the opportunities to set up and promote a business website, even using simple HTML, are plentiful.

Of course, there are many other ways to promote your business and even print advertising is still viable albeit expensive. The one thing that is for certain is that you have to promote your business.

Waiting for the world to bear a path to your door is not going to result in much more than a lot of cobwebs.
