Wood-Mizer has expanded its woodworking equipment line with the new MP220 Planer Molder Rip Saw for producing trim, flooring, dimensional lumber and more from rough sawn material.
The three-in-one machine features one horizontal cutter for planing or molding and one circular saw blade for rip sawing, edging, or resawing material in one pass, according to the company.
“In addition to three-in-one versatility for planing, molding, and rip sawing, woodworkers will appreciate the simple and efficient operation to save time, the precision to produce high-quality and value-added finished products, and the compact design to free up valuable workshop space,” Chad Sanders, a woodworking product specialist at Wood-Mizer, said in a statement.
“For accurate and consistent results, two steel and one polyurethane feed rollers efficiently move material on the heavy-duty cast-iron table through the horizontal cutter and rip saw blade at a variable speed.”
The planer/molder setup can process stock up to 15-3/4” wide and 9-1/2” high. The rip saw capacity is up to 11” wide by 3-1/8” high.
The machine is available with a 240-volt single- or 3-phase motor.
The MP220 sells for $6,395 through the end of January. For more, visit woodmizer.com.
