TigerStop, a manufacturer of stop gauge and material positioning systems, has made significant upgrades to its SawGear Touch portable automated stop system.

New features include a touchscreen control that can manage efficient cutting of wood and other materials through special programming, eliminating the need for tape measures, manual stop blocks, and clamps, according to the company.

“SawGear Touch is every woodworker’s secret weapon,” says Elizabeth Dick, director of sales at TigerStop. “It utilizes the same revolutionary technology in our industrial-sized equipment, but in a much more compact and affordable portable system.

“This (upgraded) system is feature rich and includes software that will help woodworkers fight the skilled labor gap and rising material costs. Labor and materials tend to be the most resource draining aspects of owning a woodworking business and using SawGear Touch, small and large shops now have a tool that allows them to quickly and accurately process parts, upload cut lists, and optimize material, resulting in minimal scrap waste, if any at all.”

SawGear Touch now includes cutting applications for molding, trim, paneling, baseboard, and framing. Label printing is an available option.

“Carpenters and contractors will especially love the crown molding software used to easily cut complex angles for trim, baseboard, and crown molding,” says Dick. “Picture framers and window and door makers will greatly benefit from the framing software as well.”

An 8’ SawGear Touch sells for $4,875. It’s also available in 12’, 16’, 20’, and custom lengths. For more pricing information, visit tigerstop.com.
