SOUTH BEND introduces a 16” band saw, model SB1080, with a 3-hp motor and 14” of resaw capacity. Features include a 20-7/8” x 25-5/8” cast-iron table, trunnion with a rack-and-pinion tilt mechanism, and dual ball-bearing blade guides. The band saw also features a cast-iron fence with a two-position aluminum face attachment that can be mounted for resawing applications or for cutting thin workpieces. The saw comes with two 4” dust ports, foot-operated brake system, quick-change blade release/tensioner, and powder-coated finish. It sells for $3,150.
