Powermatic offers seven commemorative woodworking machines, available with a special black and gold paint scheme and premium features, to celebrate the manufacturer’s centennial.
Four machines are available this spring:
• The PM15HH planer ($3,299), an ode to the company’s first product, featuring a helical cutterhead with 74 four-sided indexable carbide knife inserts, 3-hp motor, two-speed gearbox, cast iron table, built-in castors, and 4” dust port.
• The PWBS-14CS band saw ($1,399) with a two-piece cast iron table, consisting of a 15” x 15” tilting section and a fixed 15” x 5” section, micro-adjustable dual bearing blade guide system, work lamp, chip blower, and more.
• The PM54HH jointer (price unavailable) featuring a helical cutterhead with 40 four-sided indexable carbide knife inserts; oversized infeed/outfeed tables, 38” fence with positive stops at 90 and 45 degrees, left and right; steel stand, 1-hp motor and 4” dust port.
• The PM1300TX TurboCone dust collector ($1,099).
Commemorative issues of the PM2820EVS 20” drill press, PM1000 table saw, and 3520C wood lathe are scheduled for this fall.
