FLEXADUX PVR-4 clear PVC hose, from Flexaust, for dust and light woodchip collection. The medium-weight hose is reinforced with a spring steel wire helix. It compresses at better than a 3 to 1 ratio to reduce shipping costs and save storage space, according to the manufacturer. For example, a 10'-long x 4" I.D. hose ships in a 4-1/2" sq. x 3'-long box. The hose is offered in 2" to 12" I.D. sizes and standard 10', 25' and 50' lengths. The hose has a 0.025" wall thickness for 2" to 5" I.D. sizes and 0.028" for 6" and above. The company also says the hose offers good chemical and water resistance and a wide (20- to 160-degree F) operating range. The hose is priced according to size and quantity ordered. THE DADO PRO, from CMT, is an alternative to buying an 8" dado head. The kit includes two rim blades, four 1/8" chippers and one 1/16" chipper, to cut a perfectly flat-bottomed dado, according to the manufacturer. The Dado Pro handles grooves, dados and rabbets from 1/4" to 13/16" wide. Each chipper is individually labeled with its dimension. A set of seven steel dado shims is included to hit those "in between" measurements and the size of each shim is clearly indicated. CMT says the anti-kickback design of the teeth limits the amount of stock removal without adversely affecting performance, making the Dado Pro a great choice for underpowered saws. The Dado Pro, sold with a carrying case, has a street price of $149. Contact: CMT USA Inc., 307-F Pomona Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407. Tel: 888-268-2487.
