Makita introduces two new cordless vacuums

Makita U.S.A. offers two new cordless wet/dry vacuums, boasting an improved run time and lower noises levels than the models they’ve replaced, according to the company.

“There is growing awareness among woodworkers of the importance of dust extraction, and Makita offers both corded and cordless solutions. The new cordless cannister models XCV20Z and XCV23Z combine the convenience of cordless with strong performance and lower noise. These versatile vacuums are great addition to any workspace. And they’re powered by the same fast-charging 18-volt batteries that power over 275 additional LXT products,” says Wayne Hart, the company’s communications manager.

Model XCV20Z has a 2.1-gallon capacity, while the XCV23 is a 4-gallon model.

Both vacuums feature variable speed controls, large rubber bumpers to prevent damage on the job site, an oversized on-off switch, and quick-release metal latches for easy removal and disposal of debris from the canister.

The bare tools sell for $589 (XCV20Z) and $599 (XCV23Z). Makita also offers a slew of accessories.
