LestaUSA has introduced a new line of spray finishing robots, featuring self-learning and 3D scan technology, and designed to streamline operations for manufacturers of any size. The robots were debuted and demonstrated at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas where the company was a first-time exhibitor.
“What makes this technology unique is that it’s so simple that manufacturers of any size can be finishing robotically on day one following installation,” says company president Derek DeGeest.
He emphasizes that ease-of-us is key, noting that while other robotic finishing technology requires engineers and robotic programmers, Lesta’s robots allow finishers to teach the robots how to paint complicated parts in a weightless self-learning mode. Each angle, trigger pull and spray technique is recorded in real time, saved, and then duplicated by the robot on future pieces.
Lesta offers Cart System for complex furniture, a 3D Scanning and Carousel System for panels and drawers, and 3D scanning for Overhead Conveyor and Cart Systems for doors. All solutions can be added to any cart or conveyor system.
The company won a Visionary Award for this technology at the AWFS Fair.
