Festool USA introduces the TID 18 cordless impact driver, part of its summer rollout of new tools powered by the company’s new Li-High Power 18-volt battery pack.
“At Festool we set out to quench our customers’ thirst for cordless in a way that delivers premium quality and value that doesn’t exist in today’s marketplace,” says Rick Bush, Festool USA’s vice president of marketing. “With this new lineup, we have delivered on Festool’s legendary reputation for quality. These tools mean business, get the job done right and extend incredible value to our customers, all backed by our best-in-class wear-and-tear warranty coverage for three years, including the battery pack and charger.”
The new impact driver features a 1/4” quick-release chuck and T-Mode Control that that differentiates wood from metal fastening applications to prevent overtightening, according to the company.
The tool has a compact, ergonomic design and also comes standard with magnetic bit storage, removable belt clip and Festool’s EC TEC brushless motor. The TID 18 is packaged in Festool’s sturdy Systainer storage system.
“The TID 18 delivers for the woodworkers, remodelers, craftsmen and DIY hobbyists of all levels who expect Festool to offer value through precision-engineered tools primed for performance. The TID 18 is competitively priced and backed by the best warranty in the industry, and our customers will quickly come to rely on the TID 18’s power, quality and versatility to complete jobs of varying degrees of complexity,” says Bush.
The impact driver sells for about $199 as a bare tool. A combo kit with two batteries and charger sells for about $349.
