DeWalt presents battery redesign

DeWalt introduces the new 20-volt Max Compact 3.0Ah battery, model DCB230, which offers the same capacity and is 20 percent lighter than the previous model, according to the company.

“The slim 20-volt Max Compact 3.0Ah battery adds to the wide range of battery options offered by DeWalt,” the company said in a statement. “From compact to heavy-duty, DeWalt users can choose the optimal battery for their application. Each battery is compatible with the 20-volt Max System from DeWalt, now totaling over 165 products.”

Available in March, the stand-alone battery sells for $99, in a two pack for $129, and with one battery and a charger for $119.
