The C-3-D is built by hand in England and set to the tolerance of 1/100th of 1 degree over the entire 9" length of the blade, according to the manufacturer. The tool indicates a perfect scribe line in 3-D, both in width and thickness simultaneously. Unlike regular squares that are factory-set for the life of the tool, the C-3-D's construction allows the square to be reset; or if serious damage is done, the C-3-D can be fully stripped down and reassembled.
