I' sure I mentioned this at one point, but it's so good it bears occasional repeating for the benefit of those who might have missed it the last time around. A few grains of fine sand dropped into the glue line before clamping boards together will eliminate the frustrating tendency for pieces slipping around under clamping pressure. This has saved me countless hours of frustration and I'm still working on the 10-lb. bag of fine washed aquarium sand I bought for four bucks back in 1978.

His experience in professional woodworking spans a period of 35 years. For the past 20 years David DeCristoforo Design has been located in Woodland, California.
