My son always worked with me in the shop. From the time he was old enough to hold a hammer, he wanted to.
I never really encouraged it or pressed him to do this work but he just naturally gravitated towards it. Watching him with his son now, I can see how it works. Whatever he does, his son, at two years old, is right there, watching, learning and wanting to participate.
Don’t worry. He’s not in the shop, yet. But he’s ever present when Dad is fixing something, making dinner or working in the garden.
It's amazing to watch this process work itself out.
