We have become accustomed to small, handheld devices. It seems like everyone has a phone in their hand these days.
And these phones have evolved into full on handheld computers, sometimes as powerful if not more powerful than your desktop computer.
CNC has always conjured up images of huge platforms with complex overhead tooling heads on tracks with cables and wires running everywhere.
Not anymore. Yesterday I came across this:
It's a handheld CNC router! I could not have imagined such a thing. But this packs some amazing technology into a small, and I hope, affordable unit.
It would take more space than I have here to explain how it works but it's worth the time to hit the company’s website and have a look. I have never seriously considered getting into CNC but this might just be the thing that changes my mind!
