Wood-Mizer, a wood processing equipment manufacturer, is offering woodworking machinery through its global distribution network. The move follows the company’s recent acquisition of Swedish manufacturer Moretens AB.

Traditionally known as a source of portable sawmills, Wood-Mizer has expanded its product range in recent years to include kilns, log splitters, and other processing equipment. Through the acquisition, the company’s product offerings also include planer/molders, table saws, spindle molders, and CNC routers.

Wood-Mizer marketing manager Chase Warner says when the opportunity presented itself, the company realized it was a good time to continue expanding its product line.

“Our motto has always been from forest to final form and adding more product that woodworkers and sawmillers can use to add value to their products is something that we want to offer. We’re kind of a one-stop shop. You can take a tree, turn it into rough cut lumber, dry it with a kiln and create a finish product all with the use of Wood¬-Mizer equipment.”
