DUST COLLECTOR FOR DOVETAIL JIGS attaches to Rockler dovetail jigs, both old and new models, with two extra-long 4" knob posts. A sliding baffle directs the suction to the point where the dovetails are being cut. The shroud contains the dust while allowing the bit to travel through without damage. An adjustable sweep brush provides for a complete seal for stock from 1/2" up to 1-1/8" thickness. The built-in 2-1/4" port fits most shop vacuum hoses, according to Rockler. The Rockler Dovetail Jig Dust Collector sells for $39.99. A 4-Screw Conversion Kit for older model Rockler Dovetail Jigs costs $3.99/pair. The MINI-LIGNO E/D is a moisture meter from Lignomat, which offers digital readout, LED lights displaying the wood group, and a wider range for measuring moisture content up to 45 percent. The meter is made to fit in your hand or in a shirt pocket for easy transport. The contoured cap serves as a cover and when placed on the other end of the meter, becomes a comfortable push handle for easy probe insertion. When the pins are pushed the proper distance into the wood, the meter automatically turns on. Power is cut off when the pins are pulled out the wood. BENCH HORSE portable workbench system, from Blum Tool Co., sets up in seconds and provides a solid job-site woodworking platform. The top and sides are made from 1/2" Baltic birch plywood. A pipe clamp can be inserted through holes in the sides, located every 6", for a vice. The top also has two rows of dog holes on each side. The legs are made from tubular steel, which fold under the top. The bench measures 18" x 48" and weighs 55 lbs. CONCAVE FACE BLADE, from Forrest Mfg., for cutting melamine-coated particle board. The blade's unique hollow-concave face grind produces chip-free cuts on both sides of melamine board, according to the manufacturer. It will also cut foam core moldings, preventing the molding from melting while being cut. The blade is tipped with corrosion-resistant, C-4 micrograin carbide teeth and sharpened with diamond-grit grinding wheels. It's available with a choice of 48, 50 and 60 teeth, and 30mm, 5/8" and 1" center hole sizes. The company says the 48- and 60-teeth blades are ideal for cutting flakeboard laminates, while the 50- and 60-teeth metric and 48- and 60-teeth standard blades are recommended for cutting polystyrene foam core moldings.
