TRIDON MICA-NIFE is a laminate edge finisher offered by Practical Products Co. The model MN-94 has a redesigned solid tungsten carbide cutter that is sharper than the previous model, providing faster cutting and smoother trimming of decorative laminate edges, according to the manufacturer. The depth of cut is adjustable and the angle of the cut can be set from 8 to 18 degrees. The Tridon Mica-Nife, model MN-94, sells for $11.76. The table features a large 27" x 18" die-cast aluminum top, which is resistant to corrosion and distortion. The router table comes with an aluminum router mounting plate, which is pre-drilled to accommodate more than a dozen industry routers, while a blank mounting plate can be purchased separately and drilled to fit. VERITAS SKEW REGISTRATION JIG locks into the Veritas Mk.II honing guide to make quick work of setting both skew and bevel angles (left- or right-hand) of chisel and plane blades. The jig's machined aluminum base provides skew angle markings that are laser etched for accuracy, according to the manufacturer. The skew angle graduations cover the range of 10 to 45 degrees in 5-degree increments, and there are additional marks at 18, 22 and 28 degrees to cover the angles of popular skew plane blades.
