Thomas Mahogany hires new executive vice president

Thompson Mahogany Co. announced the hiring of Charlie Craig as executive vice president.

Craig was CEO of Craig Lumber Corp. for 20 years, then vice president of AHC Craig Imports for five years.

“Charlie started his career sourcing Philippine mahogany and North American hardwoods for the U.K. market,” the company said in a statement. “He then moved to the U.S. and sourced mainly African hardwoods for Craig Lumber Corp. and latterly AHC Craig Imports. In addition to sourcing Charlie has been active in the sales of these products and operations. Charlie is responsible for managing and overseeing the overall Thompson Mahogany growth strategy.”

Thompson Mahogany is one of the nation’s largest direct importers of luxury hardwood lumber. It was founded in 1843.
