New sanding disc from 3M

3M introduced a ceramic-grain sanding disc for use with orbital sanders.

The Cubitron II Hookit Clean Sanding Paper Disc, item No. 732U, features a triangular-shaped ceramic mineral designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or plowing like conventional abrasives, according to the company.

3M says the disc will cut twice as fast and last four times longer than conventional abrasives.
