Entries sought for hardware design competition

Doug Mockett & Co., a manufacturer of furniture hardware, is accepting entries for its 2014 design competition.

The contest is open to anyone with innovative ideas for furniture parts, components, accessories and hardware.

There is no limit to the number of entries and only first-place winners will be selected.

“We typically have multiple winners every year, each of whom will receive a $1,000 prize, an engraved trophy, and royalties based on sales,” said company spokesperson Billy Peele, in a release. “The competition continues to grow every year, and in recent years, we’ve started to receive more and more international entries making this a global platform for designers.
