The 2020 Hawaii’s Woodshow, Na La’au o Hawai’i, the Hawaii Forest Industry Association’s (HFIA) 28th annual juried woodworking exhibition, took place Oct. 25-Nov. 8 at the Hawaii Opera Plaza in Honolulu.
“Wood for Wood”, an exhibit focused on Spanish Colonial furniture, ran from July 14 through Oct. 6 at the Branigan Cultural Center in Las Cruces, N.M. The featured pieces were a testimony to the skill and artistic abilities of individuals who sought to embrace federal programs offered by the New Deal during the economic depression of the 1930s, according to the museum.
The Fuller Craft Museum of Brockton, Mass. opened a contemporary seating exhibition, “From Where I Sit”, that runs through Feb. 21, 2021 and features 20 works from the museum’s collection.
