Oneida Air Systems offers a new portable dust collector, the BenchTop DC, for use on a workbench to move airborne dust away from the source.
The BenchTop weighs about 20 pounds and measures 25” x 16” x 7”.
“We recognized the need for a uniquely designed dust collector for custom woodworking and other applications that can be placed on the rear of a work bench unobtrusively, with a very small footprint. The idea is to draw airborne dust from the source of emission, away from the operator and the breathing zone, filter it, and then return clean air to the workspace,” says company president Robert Witter.
Featuring six fan motors for a quiet and uniform airflow and increased static pressure, the unit delivers up to 535 cfm, according to the company.
It has variable-speed control and a functional hood design that includes removable vanes for maximum airflow. It also has a dual-filter system with a washable MERV 5 pre-filter and MERV 15 main filter, a supplemental 110-volt outlet.
The unit can also be installed from a ceiling.
The BenchTop DC sells for $579 with a 71” power cord, the two filters, and steel chassis with carrying handle.
