AIT Chemical presenting its CC4358 water-based adhesive

AIT Chemical, a company that specializes in high-performance, water-based solutions for modern manufacturing, will showcase its CC4358 adhesive at IWF 2026.

“CC4358 is an advanced water-based adhesive engineered with a higher activation temperature of 95–125°C, delivering excellent heat resistance, creep resistance, and bond strength at temperatures exceeding 100°C,” the company explained. “With shear bond strength above 2,000 psi, it is designed as a high-performance alternative to reactive PUR and formaldehyde-based adhesives for veneer bonding, plywood, particleboard, and other composite wood lamination applications. It also provides outstanding moisture and water-soaking resistance. 

“Containing 50–60% solids, CC4358 is compatible with existing cold and hot press equipment used for formaldehyde-based adhesives, allowing manufacturers to maintain current production processes. Its key advantage is a significantly reduced heat-activation time, enabling hot-press cycles of less than five minutes. The adhesive has also been proven for edge banding, profile wrapping, and traditional flat lamination in wood furniture manufacturing. 

“By replacing solvent-based carriers and formaldehyde chemistry with a water-based formulation, CC4358 helps reduce VOC and formaldehyde emissions, improve workplace safety, and support compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations—without compromising performance.”
