Freud expands Quadra-Cut router bit line

Freud America Inc. displayed a potpourri of products at IWF 2008, including a new line of Double-Grind straight router bits and a large expansion of its Quadra-Cut router bit line. Numerous industrial saw blades with the company’s red Perma-SHIELD coating or Silver ICE coatings were also showcased.

Donaldson Co. Inc. introduced its line of Torit PowerCore dust collectors at IWF 2008, which feature PowerCore filter packs and a pulse-cleaning system. They are available in multiple variations for shops of all sizes.
Bosch adds PS50 Multi-X oscillating tool

Bosch Power Tools and Accessories released its PS50 Multi-X oscillating tool in October; a small cordless unit designed for cutting, sawing and sanding tasks, powered by a 12-volt Max Litheon battery, Bosch’s proprietary battery system. The combination tool is suited for cutting softwood, hardwood, drywall, plastic and metals; sanding; scraping; sawing; buffing or polishing a variety of other materials. Bosch designed the tool specifically for the professional market.
Laguna combo machine pulls quintuple duty

Laguna Tools introduced 20 new machines at IWF 2008 in Atlanta, including a five-function 5' sliding combination machine that features a table saw, 12" planer, 12" jointer, shaper and mortiser — all in a 6' x 5' footprint.
JET adds oscillating feature to sander

For many years, wide belt sanders have had an oscillating feature, and now product developers at JET Tools have taken that a step further. The result, which JET rolled out at IWF 2008 in August, is a new cabinet version of its open-end drum sander, model 22-44OSC, with a patent-pending 1" left-to-right oscillating feature.
