Meet Joe. He's a pro. He's Joe the Pro.
Joe the Pro is Joe Sainz, recently introduced by Bosch Accessories as a company spokesman. He has built homes, worked as a remodeler and finish carpenter. He's a union carpenter and holds a certificate in electrical mechanics. He even restores antique hand tools in his spare time.
You might meet Joe the Pro as he travels to job sites, power tool dealerships and trade shows this summer, spreading the good word about Bosch tools and accessories.
The Joe the Pro program is an effort to teach people nationwide that power tool accessories are not simply commodities, but that they are absolutely critical to success on the job site, according to Bosch.
"These days, the pressure is on the professional tradesmen to make the most of every paying job, to work faster and still produce quality results," says Sainz. "If I can help people work smarter, save a little money by buying bits and blades that last longer and make a little more money by using accessories that perform better, then I will feel I've been successful."
For the last two years, Sainz has worked with pro tradesmen and dealers as a trainer for Bosch Accessories. Bosch actively recruited him for the job, according to Bosch brand manager Chad Reynolds, because of his broad trade skills, his impressive knowledge of tools and accessories and his uncanny ability to communicate with fellow tradesmen.
"Joe is a natural, someone who tradesmen of all types trust and can relate to," says Reynolds. "And it's not just what he knows. It's his aggressive desire to always learn more about new techniques and technologies, along with his integrity and charisma, that resonates with the people he works with on a daily basis."
"I'm looking forward to traveling coast-to-coast this year, meeting as many people as I can," Sainz says. "Whether I'm talking with a commercial builder, a plumber, a finish carpenter or a homeowner who just wants to learn a new skill, the 'aha moment' when someone sees how a great accessory can make a big difference really gets me fired up. That's why I'm doing this in the first place."
Joe the Pro will be at IWF 2010 in Atlanta in August and the 2010 STAFDA convention in November.
