Techno offers free CNC materials to teachers

Techno Inc. Education Systems is offering its "Introduction to CNC Machining" and "Introduction to CNC Plasma Cutting" curricula available to all teachers at no charge until June 30.

The curricula can be accessed online at http://www.techno-isel.com/Education1/Manuals/Login.htm.

The “Introduction to CNC Machining” includes a brief history of manufacturing and CNC, an introduction to G codes, an introduction to Mastercam software, and information about fixturing, clamping material and running parts on a CNC machine.

The “Introduction to CNC Plasma Cutting” covers similar topics.

The curricula are ideal for students and instructors first getting involved with CNC machining, Mastercam or CNC plasma cutting, according to the company.
