The 19th annual Townsend Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day. Event showcases traditional East Tennessee mountain culture including arts and crafts booths, family activities and a wide variety of food. Visitors can also experience Appalachian artisans and demonstrations including blacksmithing, molasses making, apple butter making, charcoal pencil drawing, rug hooking, basketry and woodcarving.
