Maine Wood 2014 showcases state’s skills

atg1Maine Wood 2014 opened in January at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship and will run through April 2. This biennial exhibition in Rockport, Maine, showcases the breadth, creativity and excellence of the state’s furniture makers, turners, carvers and sculptors.

Exhibit touts furniture ‘Made in Massachusetts’

atg1The Fuller Craft Museum will present “Made in Massachusetts: Studio Furniture of the Bay State” from Oct. 12 through Feb. 9, 2014, featuring 39 pieces derived from traditional prototypes as well as works that push the conceptual boundaries of furniture towards sculptural objects, according to the museum.
