One of a Kind Show lives up to its name

atg1The 14th annual One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago showcased work by more than 600 juried artists from Dec. 4-7 at the city’s Merchandise Mart. The show encompasses an array of handcrafted work in a variety of media, categories and price points. Offerings included furniture, home accessories, ceramics, fiber art, and more.



Massachusetts museum features Nathaniel Gould’s work

atg1The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass., recently opened “In Plain Sight: Discovering the Furniture of Nathaniel Gould,” a celebration of the craftsmanship of one of the most important American furniture makers of the 18th century. This exhibition went on view Nov. 15 and will run through March 29, 2015.



Jere Osgood is the focus of New Hampshire exhibit

atg1The New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association is presenting an exhibit of work by Jere Osgood, one of the preeminent artist craftsmen in America. This exhibition features a collection of furniture and other works in wood from Osgood’s career. It will be on view at the gallery in Concord, N.H. through Nov. 10.



Fall means it’s time for Fine Furnishings Shows

Society of Arts and Crafts preps for its show season

atg1The Society of Arts and Crafts is currently preparing for its upcoming show season, which includes CraftBoston Holiday scheduled for Dec. 5-7 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston and CraftBoston Spring held March 20-22, 2015 at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts in Boston.
