Woodshop News is the leading trade journal for professional woodworkers with over 40,000 monthly subscribers. Each year, we re-qualify our readers via the BPA Auditing System to be sure our subscriber data is as accurate as possible. We have been successfully publishing Woodshop News for over 20 years and are well respected within our industry.
2009 was been a year of expansion for WOODSHOP NEWS. While many magazines serving our industry have condensed or even dissolved, we have grown. In print, we have expanded our product coverage with more pages on "New Products" and enhanced our BLACK BOOK program, providing a digital level to these releases. While online, we have added two eNewsletters, expanding our regular outbound reach to 60,000+ Inboxes a month.
2010 plans to be a year of continued growth. Starting with the February 2010 issue we resized Woodshop News to a 9” X 11” “Big Mag” format. Our new magazine size and look is a move to repackage ourselves in a more accessible design. With more pages and on stronger paper, our enhanced format sets a new standard and we are confident it will meet the needs of our audience and marketers. This move creates additional distribution channels for our content and allows us new ways to deliver information to our audience with a greater level of communication to our readers, while continuing to keep a larger-scale magazine on everyone’s desk. Online, we have added a new research database called the “Resource Guide”. This database provides FREE listings to all companies providing services and supplies to professional woodworkers. Like many of our offerings – the Resource Guide also provides paid marketing options for those companies looking to stand apart from their competition.
Starting in MAY 2010 - Woodshop News will be working with the IWF to create a new digital magazine “WoodTech News 2010” that will provide educational insights into many facets of the woodworking industry and small and large woodshops alike. WoodTech News 2010 will have a direct distribution level, which surpasses all other professional woodworking magazines, digital or printed, delivering to some 50,000+ inboxes with each release. NO other publication can provide a magazine with a greater "IWF focused audience" then the new WOODTECH NEWS 2010 - because so much of its audience was developed from the IWF files.

SPECIAL PROJECT
• WoodTech News 2010 - Created through a joint venture between Woodshop News and the IWF, its primary mission will be to educate and promote the issues and changes affecting our market. Many of which will also be addressed as "live and in person" elements of the IWF event. The digital magazine will have a circulation of over 50,000 professionals working in the woodworking industry, this uniquely positioned digital magazine is sure to reach more IWF focused individuals then any other professional magazine of web site serving the industry. At least 4 releases are expected to be sent out prior to the IWF Show in August, the first release will be May 5th and will have April 20th deadline - so call now.
Your FREE online listing will include your company name, full contact information (already uploaded). Along with this, you may add a brief description of your company, a list of your top 15 distributors you work with, or your direct sales channel – down to a state level – and of course, the categories of the products you are manufacturing or selling.
We have designed the forms to address those who manufacturer products – potentially their key distributors and those that ultimately sell goods and services into the woodworking community. The design and information requested is also developed to promote communications between buyers and sellers on a national or regional level. By not drilling down to the specific product level, buyers will need to communicate with sellers to find the latest products and most recent prices. This communication creates multiple opportunities to promote and sell your goods and services.
There will be paid enhancementsthat you may choose to expand the amount of information on your company. These options will also provide your company with premium exposure benefits, as well. The paid up-sell options will be clearly marked and identified as choices where you fill out your FREE listing.
Of course, should you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to our marketing team at sales@woodshopnews.comor call Kathy at 800-444-7686 ext 246 to forward you to the right contact for your question.
